What a treat is in store at the V&A right now. Curator and Milliner Stephen Jones has brought together hats spanning 2,500 years.
Dating the hats on view is considerably more challenging to the onlooker than one would suppose. Some of the hats are worked so finely one can hardly believe that the material is something as modest as straw! Altogether really worth a visit and when we went on Sunday afternoon the curator was in attendance and eager for feedback from the visitors, his commitment and enthusiasm is quite plainly reflected in the quality of the exhibition.Go to http://www.vam.ac.uk/microsites/hats-anthology/ for more information.
